Triplains is being included in a multi-district Mental Health Intervention Team Grant partnership including Colby, Oakley, Wheatland, Grinnell, Healy, and Quinter.
The Mental Health Intervention Team Program is an innovative approach by the Kansas Department of Education designed to serve districts, students, and their families by funding School Liaisons to eliminate barriers between students and needed mental health services. The program funds 75% of the salary and benefits of School Liaisons, as well as providing money to Mental Health Partners to offset the cost of serving uninsured students. Actual cost to Triplains will be minimal.
The Quinter district is the fiscal agent who submitted the grant on behalf of the multi-school partnership, and the positions will be staffed through the Northwest Kansas Educational Service Center.
